It's Spooky Season! Whether you're looking for fast and free market prep ideas, or you're willing to spend a little cash to make a more detailed critter for decor or gifts, I've compiled a list of 6 critters that are perfect for Halloween! Each critter features a paid pattern as well as a free option. As an extra, I've included some crochet pattern books that I think are perfect for a creepy crochet vibe.
Mouse
FREE: I have made several of these adorable little mice using the YouTube video. The best part about this little guy is that there are endless ideas for items that he can be holding! Click on the link here or copy/paste below to find the written pattern as well as the video tutorial.

Some people struggle with certain rows on this pattern, so be sure to scroll to the bottom of the pattern for some clarification if you get confused!

Opossum
FREE: Possibly the most underrated creepy critter, the opossum is definitely gaining some popularity in the crochet world. This free video tutorial is great for personal creations or market prep - and it's adorable!

Spider
FREE: You can't have Halloween without spiders! There are so many options for spider patterns available. Last year, I really enjoyed making this realistic spider using this video tutorial. Pro tip: using a mixture of worsted weight and velvet/chenille/fluffy yarn can make the spider even more realistic and textured, just like a real, live, fuzzy tarantula!
